Reflection: Behavior Modification

   This assignment was a great way to have us assess our everyday behaviors. I would like to be more proactive and exercise regularly for the many health benefits and that is why I chose this as my behavior modification. I believe that having balance in life is very important and this includes healthy behaviors such as exercise. Too much exercise is not good either. I noticed that on the days that I made time to walk, I felt better overall and slept better at night. School can be very stressful so exercising is a great tool to help decrease the stress that we experience.  

    Behaviors that can have negative consequences such as addictions are especially important to address. Tobacco abuse is one that comes to my mind. There are many individuals that struggle to quit using tobacco even though they desire to.
     
   I enjoyed learning about the two types of conditioning which is a form of learning. Classical conditioning is when there is a stimulus and a response and operant conditioning involves a reward/punishment system. Behavior modification was developed from these two theories.
