The story of the identical twins separated at birth and reunited 35 years later was such an amazing story to me. Paula Berstein and Elyse Schein were the twins that reunited after 35 years apart. They did not even know about each other growing up. The similarities in their personalities was unbelievable. They both liked to write, both edited their high school year books and have very similar taste in music. Identical twins have the same exact DNA. The twins grew up in very different environments so the nature of the nurture versus nature debate proves to be accurate in this situation. I think that they probably have many differences too since each individual is unique
I thought it was strange that from 1898- 1977 psychologist, William Herbert Sheldon presented the idea of somatology. It is an idea that peoples personalities could be determined by body types. Scientific research did not prove this weird theory.
There are many different personality tests that one can take. I learned that the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a very popular personality test that is used all over the world. It is given by millions of employers. I think this is a great tool for employers to have. This test does not predict behaviors.
I really enjoyed learning more about personalities in this module.
